Drawing Dimebag Darrell - Legendary Guitarist for Pantera!

Dimebag Darrell Tribute Art - Zombified Character - Dead and Loving it Series by Inkeater

This drawing features Darrell Lance Abbott the legendary guitarist from Pantera, known as Dimebag Darrell to all and considered to be one of the driving forces behind Groove Metal. Darrell passed away December 8, 2004 when he was shot and killed by a gunman while on stage during a performance with Damageplan, another band Darrell along with his brother Vinnie Paul had created following the demise of their previous group Pantera.

This piece of Dimebag Darrell tribute art is one of several portraits to be created by me and my brother James Vulcan featuring artists of all types who met their demise before their greatness was seen. This series is called Dead And Loving It (D.A.L.I.) with a heavy focus on music and art. Dimebag is the second artist to be drawn. The first portrait created in this series was Salvador Dali, both of which can be seen coming to life on my YouTube.
This drawing of Dimebag Darrell took 1 hour and 4 minutes to create!

Favorite Song Lately - High by Sir Sly

Favorite Songs Lately, what is it? If I had to articulate it, its a song or list of songs that rip the words right out of your mouth. They make you feel alive, they push you forward when nothing else does. I wanted to dedicate a section of my blog to these songs that power me through the dead of night, that make me feel alive as I sit behind a computer screen typing up code with no end in sight. But mostly, I thought others might find these songs of interest or useful in your quest of working forever alone, dealing with life and plowing through your workload.
Last time we shared Bike for Three's Wolf Sister! This week on my way to work, I heard a tune that captured me from the second I heard the words, "...Feels good to be running from the devil, another breathe, and I'm up another level..."
Check out Sir Sly with his song High, which was just released on March 24th, 2017, down below!

"....It feels good to be running from the devil. Another breath and I'm up another level...It feels good to be up above the clouds, it feels good for the first time in a long time now..." High by Sir Sly

Latest Drawings...& What I am working on... (March 2017 Edition)

This past month was Women's History Month and in honor of that month I wanted to highlight some bad ass ladies. I had the wonderful opportunity to highlight a few artists I love, and some fictional bad ass ladies from Television.

I drew Buffy the Vampire and Xena Warrior Princess. Both of them were super fun to draw.

I really enjoyed drawing Xena's Armor, but loved getting into drawing Buffy's hair and hand holding the stake.

I am trying to refine both of them so I can add them to my shop as prints sometime in the near future. Subscribe to my newsletter to keep up for when we add them to our etsy store!

In the meantime, who are some bad ass ladies you love fictional or not! Let me know in the comments below!

Loved these drawings? Watch them come to life!

There's so much awesome music out there in the world. One that has captured my heart since its release is Bike For Three Wolf Sister. Its one song as of lately, that I've been playing nonstop. The whole ALbum So Much Forever is awesome as a whole. I"ve had it for a while, but its one of those albums I always  come back to  playing repeatedly when I get the chance.
Granted, I am torn between this album and More Heart Than Brains. I hope both albums at the same level. A few of my favorite tracks beyond Wolf Sister, would have to be Lazarus Phenomenon. But if you love the song Wolf Sister, definitely check out their other album More Heart than Brains.

Anyways, what are some awesome songs that you've been absolutely obsessed with. Let me know in the comments below!
